When I start out writing the rough draft (I put it inside an old notebook so I can tear out the pages) I try to get the main story line down. When I am done with that I take a different color pen and go through and edit it (#Selfediting 😛) the things I look for are: Capitalization, punctuation, and spelling. I also look for words that can be made more exciting, like fire can be turned into inferno, and et cetera.
I am then done editing the rough draft. From there I tear out the draft so I can see it with out having to turn the pages. I then copy it again, this time being edited. It takes longer to copy the second draft then the first. But its worth it to have a better story!
My favorite genre to write is fiction, its fun to make the characters live in a different world that you get to create! It is harder to create brand new worlds and names, but thats the fun of it. The story I am writing now is about a girl who lives in an underground city/dungeon, and she goes to a school where they teach weaponry because there is monsters that roam around. It is my favorite story so far. I especially like drawing my character!
